Black Library's Anathemas, which includes my Age of Sigmar short story, "These Hands, These Wings," has been released. You can purchase it here on Amazon.
I'm pleased to announce that Apparition Literary Magazine has nominated my story, "Our Roots Devour," for the Pushcart Prize!
Also "Polaroid, 1979" has been included in this fantastic year's best list. I have a handful of short stories published in 2019 that are eligible for awards:
Polaroid, 1979 published in PseudoPod, October 2019, (short story, fantasy/horror) Their skins never look as beautiful on her as they do on their original bones, but this boy drapes over Evelyn like silk... Our Roots Devour published in Apparition Literary Magazine, July 2019 (short story, fantasy) Momma always told us the Tree ain’t got a taste for our family’s blood. But it’s hard to keep my heart from hammering when I lay that blackbird, swaddled like a baby in one of Momma’s old blouses, against its roots... The Wallflowers published in Gorgon: Stories of Emergence, February 2019 (short story, science fiction) When you open your eyes, the daisies are watching you... My horror story, "Polaroid, 1979," is now up at PseudoPod!
Setsu Uzume has done a fantastic job narrating my story. You can check it out here. My short story, "Our Roots Devour," is now up at Apparition Literary Magazine.
This story was a long time coming and I wrestled with it quite a bit before it emerged in its final form. I'm really happy it found such a great home in the Retribution issue of Apparition. My short story, "He Feasts Forever" was just listed as Track of Words' top choice for Black Library's best digital short fiction of 2019, (so far)! You can read the entire, (very awesome) list here.
My short story, "He Feasts Forever," is now available at Black Library! "He Feasts Forever is an unnerving, Gormenghast-esque tale of sinister domesticity and dark glamour...Anyone looking for an Age of Sigmar story which captures the setting’s darkness without relying on homogenised archetypes should have this at the top of their list..." -Track of Words And, if you're in the mood for more Warhammer horror, my short story, "Crimson Snow" is also out now in Black Library's anthology, Maledictions! Gorgon: Stories of Emergence is now available.
It's a beautiful anthology and I'm thrilled that my story, "The Wallflowers" is included. You can purchase it here. |
